Interview – Yoshiki Nakajima (CHERRY)

• First, please tell us what your impression was when you received the offer to appear in the project.

The material that was initially sent to me was a character with spectacles and green as his color... a concept I had never worked with before, so I started thinking about how to conceptualize it first.
I was really intrigued to see how this work—with its unique setting—would grow.

• Please tell us what you think about the character you voice.

I haven't truly grasped this character yet.
During the first take, I intended to portray him with a more polished look, or, better, with the elegance of an intellectual, but after receiving directives, I tried to make him sound more "intimidating and scary." Is this the "sketchiness" that is unique to Gray Sheep, I wonder? Haha.
I'm excited to see what he'll do in the future.
 

• Please tell us your impressions after recording the drama.

This was my first time recording for "Gray Sheep," so I was beyond thrilled.
The main characters are all together, so the content is going to be extremely extensive. And it seems that each of them has their own agenda, making it a tough nut to crack. I'd like to see the relationship among the characters that will emerge from this as soon as possible.
 

• Please tell us your thoughts on recording the song.

First and foremost, I struggled! I had listened to the songs they already released, so I was partly prepared, but it was yet another genre from the others.
It seems to be difficult to perform live, but I believe it might become a very riveting song!
