The welcome party for Snow was held after the investigation in Shibuya, which GOAT was in charge of, had concluded.

"We shoulda done this waaay earlier!"

Spider blurted out in a tone that suggested genuine regret.
He'd drunk a fair amount of alcohol at the beginning of the party and was already inebriated.
Joe, who had been busily folding towel cranes next to him, paused to defend him.

"I believe he was worried that you were afraid of him, Snow.
He was looking for a way to open up to you... m- maybe...?"

One may argue that Spider is not the sort to make a good first impression.
That's exactly why he was looking forward to Snow's arrival, someone close in age.
But with everyone present, it would have been impossible for him to be honest about it, and now Joe had given everything away.

"The friggin' audacity!!"

Ill at ease, he tried to disguise his embarrassment by taking the towel crane,
but having long lost his sense of balance, he just lightly touched it once. Next to them

"Wait, could you maybe not grill everything at once? All of the oil is splashing my way!"

The heat from pots and iron plates is a enemy of those who wear makeup.
So Owl asked Nurse, who was sitting in front of him, while shielding himself from the column of smoke.

"Sorry 'bout that. The meat here is quite fatty, which makes it even worse I guess...
... Wanna switch seats?"

Nurse has full power over the entire table.
Owl moved away from the table silently, realizing that doing something unnecessary
would stop him from feeding them. After receiving his answer, Nurse added more meat to the grill and started chatting intently with the ingredients.

"Resist the urge to check the other side to see if it's done. Don't rush it..."

As Snow watched Nurse, who seemed ready to launch into a philosophical rant, Color called out to him.

"ーWant some more orange juice?"
"Oh, thank you... Wait, no, I'll place the order!"
"It's fine; I have the touch screen on my side anyway."

Sandwiched between Nurse, who was busy tending to the meat, and Color, who was leisurely sipping his beer, Snow found himself at a loss.
But, after his boss told him that the job of the fresh hire at a welcome party is to be overwhelmed by the hospitality, he had no choice but to give in.
He moved the hand he no longer needed to his lap, giving it a squeeze.

Snow is the star of the day.
Tender meat and vegetables are served on little plates as the drunkard opens the orange juice bottle that has been brought out.
A towel crane wipes away the condensation on the glass while all of the smoke wafts away from Snow.

"Thank you very much for today."

Snow's voice was muffled by the din in the restaurant, but Color smiled, as if he caught on.

"Is this enough food for you?"
"Very much so."
"Don't be shy and eat as much as you want. Nurse will take care of everything today."

Nurse also grinned at Snow.

"He's right, Snow. So have some more rice. Mkay?"

Eating with others can be intimidating, especially if you've just met.
Snow is more experienced than most in that regard. That's how he knows.
That table is a safe zone.
