- First, please tell us what your impression was when you received the offer to appear in the project.
I was extremely overjoyed! I am always happy when they choose me as an actor! When I read the material I received about the type of work it would be, I remember being so excited I thought it would be really interesting.
The contrast between light and darkness was particularly intriguing, and the characters are such an explosion of personalities that I was sure that people would fall for at least one of the characters.
- Please tell us what you think about the character you voice.
When I initially received the picture of the character, it was only of his face, so the Joe we know now is very different from what I had in mind. After seeing the whole picture, I assumed my role would be that of a quiet downer. I was worried about his popularity... but he has a nice face, so justice prevailed, haha.
- Please tell us your impressions after recording the drama.
It took an entirely different turn than I had anticipated! I assumed he was a downer, but when I got the direction after rehearsal, it turned out he was a timid buoyant, so I remember doing a full 180, AHAH!! I had a lot of freedom to experiment my acting and I prefer quirky characters over cool ones, so it was an extremely enjoyable recording!
- Please tell us your thoughts on recording the song.
We recorded the song on the same day as the drama, but when it came to deciding how much of a character's personality to show in the song, I was told to switch to a 'cool performer' persona when singing, so it was quite easy!
The difference between Joe, who is always jumpy, and singing Joe is so nice! I loved it so much! I wanted to give it my all!! It truly revved me up! The song is also incredibly cool, and even though the team only has one song for now, it is so stunning that I can't help but look forward to the next one! Personally, I enjoy the "Let's get started!" part before the chorus.
